Group exercise pass? Check. Best decision made this semester? Yeah, I think so.
Ok, confession time: I have totally slacked off in working out this semester. Working out really just got boring for me. I’d walk the 20 minutes from Columbia Hall to Strom, run and do a little bit of weights or something and walk the 20 minutes back. You can see how I just got in a rut and had no urge to get out of it. I needed something fun to kick my butt into gear.
Well, that is exactly what I found. The Kick’n'Tone class on Tuesday nights was fun and kicked my butt, literally. After an hour of kickboxing, I felt worked out and great. I didn’t feel discouraged like I was doing the same old thing with no real results, and I definitely was not bored. While I should have been embarrassed with how bad I was at keeping up, I was having way too much fun. Seriously, I didn’t know any of the moves so when we switched, I was having trouble figuring out what we were doing and then doing it to the rhythm. After a few minutes, I got the hang of it and had a blast. It’s perfect for any fitness level; you just need a GX pass.
GX passes are $20 and can be bought at the Strom. With this pass, you can get in on any of the classes including Yoga, Pilates and Abs. There’s a class for everything and for every fitness level. If you’re looking for something to amp up your routine or something fun to get you started, get a GX pass and join a class.
